Best Laid Plans

Trust today to be the day where everyone one else ruins my plans because I have this great idea of how to get Mother to insist I leave Antiquities and was about to start part one when Chantal comes speeding up to the house nearly taking out the gardener. I had just come home and was about to implement my plan when the screeching of a car brought Mother to the front window to see Chantal slam her car door and comes straight into the house without even a knock.Sometimes I think Mother should lay a few boundaries down for Chantal just like I have started doing for Tiah. Mother and Chantal go into the drawing room for some big hush-hush and they close the door which this to me is just plain rude, after all I live here! Now you could accuse me of eavesdropping but honestly I was more than three feet from the door and I could hear Chantal ranting, so if she shouts loud enough for a person to hear how can that be eavesdropping! It appears Chantal is pretty certain Tony is messing about with their new singer Nadia Voss, honestly anyone could have told her that, it’s not like Tony doesn’t mess with every girl that passes through their restaurant. He sleazes with waitresses, chefs, hostesses, singers who ever is close by gets the Tony Sedero treatment. This is him basically telling you he is Tony Sedero and then if you are impressed with his money he then suggests you go off with him and discuss your career or whatever else you want from him. Everyone has known what he has been like for years, at school I used to feel sorry for Jazz because everyone knew who her father was messing about with.

It seems that Nadia has got herself some ideas and changed her hours,in response control freak Chantal exploded.Tony foolishly got in the middle and Chantal told him she would happily also show him the door. However she confided to Mother that Nadia was a great attraction for their biggest restaurant and none of their other entertainment would fill the place the way Nadia does. Sedero’s has been the springboard for many artists mainly because the producer Osric Jones has a special table just set aside just for him, in prime position to see the act and dinner on the house for him and his guests every night of the week. Even though Chantal would be loathe to part with Nadia and to kick Tony out would cause havoc for her business, she sees herself as having to be an iron lady in order to get respect from her employees. Chantal manages to run over a hundred people in thirty restaurants and know every aspect of every place so I guess she would rather lose Nadia than lose respect. So now she is ranting to Mother about Tony and how she is fed up with his sleazing all over town. She is going to draw the line at this affair so either Tony straightens out or she is drawing divorce papers. Poor Chantal, if she divorces Tony she will be stuck with idiot boy Jojo to run her place or make poor Jazz give up her dream of acting to support the family business. I just wish the Sedero family would keep their family business in their family instead of dragging mine into it as I really would have liked to discuss some family business of my own tonight. Oh well l’homme propose et Dieu dispose.
