Designer Therapy

Today was hiding out from everyone day as the Mothers were all burning the wires in the big Taryn shakedown. First of all Tiah calls me before lunch, this is like something that happens only if a) someone dies in a compromising position b) your worst enemy is caught in a classic f.p. (social suicide) c) your Father has been indicted for tax fraud, so Tiah is not only on the phone but gloves on and card out. She wants out of the house and needs some intense retail therapy which means only two things, well one for Tiah-- shoes and for her shoes=DESIGNER.

Tiah comes by in her new car which smells just the same as her old one and we cruise by to get Coco who comes out wearing a scarf! Yes ok it was silk and it might have been Vuitton but a scarf, so we ask her if she she's doing her Grace Kelly thing again. Every so often Coco gets delusions of Hollywood glamour and does stars from the forties, last time it was Grace Kelly, but no Coco had the dumb idea that since Tiah drove a convertible that she would be putting the top down. Tiah took the entire drive to explain why the top of her car will never be put down, starting with her hair, her makeup, her eyelashes, her skin, her clothes and well anything to do with outside and wind. It then took Tiah six pairs of shoes before she could tell us why we were out before lunch.

Taryn had been burning the wires to her best friend Liselle about Liselle not pulling her brother Gervais back into line and get him to stop meddling. This is what Liselle does when she is not running her business, well not really a business, she has this shop that is filled with these old things, antiques supposedly only no one really buys stuff except some new cash who can be talked into buying anything that might give them the credibles. Why they think they can buy it is beyond me as anyone knows you are pretty much born with it, something someone should have told Bianca before she went about organising lunches. She will always be an outsider to Taryn, Liselle, even Chantal and Mother wouldn't exactly welcome her. So Taryn gets Liselle over and starts doing a rant because Liselle is not pulling Gervais back into line and trust me it's like a living for poor Liselle as he is so utterly creepy and into everything.

This is where Tiah decides to make herself scarce before she has some distasteful task, like agreeing with her mother foisted upon her so we all agree that the War of the Divas should be left to them as we can live without charity lunches. Living without that hottie Caspar Royale could be another thing and we agree that when we get married he can do our weddings as a girl needs something to look forward to after all.

Taryn is now trying to get the Regent Gold Function Centre to "lose" Bianca's booking so she will have to cancel her event and this is almost as good as the time when Lynx Garcelle cancelled a girl’s wedding cake. Poor idiot, she went on the day to pick it up and found she had no cake, all because she had the bad taste to publicly denounce Lynx for seducing her fiancé. Lynx is an actress in a local soap and is always at parties throwing celeb vibes about, she is a good friend of the creepy Gervais which just about says it all. All the women hate her because she sleeps with men for the fun of it and throws them away like rubbish. We think she is powered up and Tiah who also wants to be an actress worships her but I think she might be better liked if she stopped giving such a good impersonation of a whore.

We spent all day refurbishing ourselves and waiting for Tiah to decide to go home the only highlight of the day was when we saw Royce. He was looking to buy some sort of surf/snow/body board and only laughed when Tiah asked if Taryn had managed to get what she wanted. Royce said Cameo Larsen had called and that set Taryn right off again. Liselle was still at the Winery so we all went back to Coco's house as Tiah never comes to my house it is some sort of silent understanding about Chantal being best friends with my mother. Oh well, sometimes you can't even chose your friend's mother.
