Start->Chapter 2->Episode 23 To Gervais
Today I went about with Caspar as he visited all the old boods on his list and listen to them rave on about stuff that was virtually impossible to do and ask for celebrities that he has no chance of inviting but they heard that so and so had this or that at their function and they simply had to do one better. Honestly to give him credit I am surprised he didn’t either yawn himself to death or smack them on the head with his satchel, what a bunch of idiotic cows he had to deal with. No wonder he looked right past us at Djini’s, he probably thought we were the brainless daughters of brainless boods and would make pointless conversation, which to be honest, is what we pretty much do most of the time.
Coco these days is only interested in Royce and they are getting along in their own little paradise of ignoring the world. His mother appears to have left the entire Elyce thing alone unless she and Liselle are hatching something behind his back which would not be hard as Royce is not the most observant person in the universe. Tiah is busy trying to break up a relationship she hasn’t got a hope in hell of breaking up unless she enlists the aid of Gervais and even then I doubt even the famous malevolent Dubois can hex this love affair.
Caspar dragged us to see Astrid Tahn for something and I saw Zizi sitting at the back of the office listening to some music. It might have been her own stuff but I was not in a position to ask so I just nodded but she ignored me. I had not seen a lot of Zizi since the Opener with the ambush of Royce by Elyce and of course Jojo doing his famous abandoning act. I wanted to ask her how she was as I never really got to see her in my social sphere anymore. Zizi was once a close part of our group full of fun and laughter but now she is all compressed as if she dare not allow any sort of emotion to escape her. I feel like she was thrown outside of us and even though I am friends with Tiah I still wanted to be friends with her. Caspar was asking Astrid to design some fabric for him and this was surprising as I thought like everyone that Jago supported Astrid and her interior design business was sort of like Liselle’s antique business, something to tell people at parties.
Astrid and Caspar went off into her office and left me sitting with Zizi in the front sitting room. So finally with a moment alone I tried breaking the ice and I asked Zizi how she was going but she ignored me which was blatantly rude as. So I asked her how her singing was going, if she had an agent and she glared like I was trying to steal her shoes. I was just about to give up when I told her about Royce and how we had rescued him from Elyce and this made her a bit curious as she said that explained why Royce ran off. I told her how Jojo had run off and abandoned me because they were both afraid of Elyce and this made her laugh as she knew how scary Elyce could be. I said I was really offended that Jojo had run off until he told me he was trying to save Royce. She said she thought Royce had left because of the Jago thing and I noticed she couldn’t bring herself to call him her father.
I told her how we made this fake relationship with Coco and Royce to throw Taryn off as she was teaming up with Elyce and was about to have Royce married off before the end of summer. Zizi laughed and said it sounded exactly like one of Taryn’s crackpot ideas. Then I told her about Gervais, the awful kiss and how I have been trying to disinfect myself ever since! She was totally sympathetic and I sat down and went through all the gossip, including my adventures in employment but I left out the Jojo and me bit as I couldn’t face telling her about how he ran off with Lynx and left me in the gutter like rubbish. That is what he did as all he had to do was change, the way he changed for Lynx to get my attention, but instead he runs off with a soap opera bimbo. Ok she might be stunningly gorgeous with a perfect body but she is as shallow as a saucer.
Zizi told me all her news about how she had an appointment with Osric Jones to show him a demo and I told her how Nadia Voss would crawl over glass for that chance. Zizi felt that she was being offered this because of Jago and it had made her really negative to accepting it so I told her to stop being an idiot as everyone in the world knew she sang like an angel. She got all pink and mumbled something and I realised that Zizi was questioning everything now, even her own talent. I said if she liked I would come with her to give her backup and she was all pleased but she was concerned I had to work. I told her I didn’t think anyone noticed if I was there or not as my main job appeared to be folding things and moving them six inches to the left which left her laughing again and this is how I wound up being part of Zizi’s appointment to see Osric Jones.
